PACT Act Passes Senate

Washington D.C.: Last night, the PACT Act—Honoring our Promises to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act—passed the full Senate. It will now move to President Biden’s desk where he will sign it into law. SWAN salutes all our fellow veterans, Jon Stewart, and our own members whose quick, decisive action in the face of the bill’s defeat in the Senate last week brought about the Senate’s extraordinary about-face last evening. The PACT Act will provide urgently needed healthcare and support for veterans suffering from the myriad, often fatal, diseases caused by their exposure to burn pits and other toxins during their time in military service.
