What We’re Tracking
In Washington D.C.

One of the ways that SWAN enacts change for military women and veterans is through legislative and policy efforts.

Part of our efforts includes crafting language for legislation and communicating and educating congressional offices and staff members as experts. While SWAN publishes new legislative priorities each year, the legislation we track is constantly evolving as it moves through the lawmaking process. Scroll through to see what policy and legislative efforts we are tracking, what we have supported, and how you can help remove obstacles for military women and be part of the change for a more equal military.

SWAN also seeks to influence DoD, VA, and other agencies’ policies to support servicewomen and minorities and women and minority veterans. SWAN also works with other MSOs, VSOs, and various partners and allies as issues arise.
